What is a Teleseminar
What
is a teleseminar?A Teleseminar is a
conference call, like a chat line. You and other registrants call a
regular phone number at your class time and you are welcomed by the
Teleseminar Leader. The Teleseminar begins promptly at the listed start
time.
A Teleseminar is similar to a grad school
discussion --
some lecture, some questions, some discussion. If this is
your
first time taking a Teleseminar, you may wonder if and how it works. It
just does. It's highly interactive and the 'flow' works well. You can
listen and absorb and/or engage in the discussion. You can always ask
questions of the Teleseminar Leader.
The
Wellness Teleseminar here at Better-Leadership,
The Balanced Leader:
Wellness & Work,
is five sessions that last 60 minutes each. One session is held each
Tuesday at
lunchtime for five consecutive weeks.
You
do not need a computer in order to be in the class. All you need is a
regular or cell phone. Note: the cost to call the bridge line is a
standard long distance charge. For most cell phone plans, that is free.
There are no conferencing fees.
Teleseminar Protocol- Call
in at the scheduled time of class.
- After
dialing the main number you will be prompted to provide a pin number.
Please enter the pin number after the tone and press the #
sign.
- During
the call, feel free to ask questions at the designated time after the
presentation. Please say your name and let the presenter recognize you
before you speak.
- Please eliminate all background
noise (children, TV, dogs, music). Anything you can hear, we can hear.
- If
your phone does not have a mute function, you can mute the call by
pressing *6 on your phone, to reverse this function and begin speaking
again simply press *6. (This code is a function of the teleseminar
phone service that we use. It might not work for other teleseminar
classes.)
- Please disengage call
waiting prior to
the teleconference call. Check your local phone directory for
instructions on disengaging call waiting.
- If you
can, please
avoid using cell phones and cordless phones during the class calls.
Cell phones and cordless phones frequently cause feedback and static
that may disrupt the confrence call for others.
- Do
not
use computer-based dial-ups to call into the bridge line; the
connection has a delay and that makes it difficult for others to
understand what you are saying.
Technical stuff:Our
bridge line & pin code will always be the same. This
information
will be emailed to you once your purchase of the Wellness Workbook is
confirmed.
